First Step Services, LLC originated in Garner, with one employee. From Garner, we have grown into four convenient facilities with our home office at 211 E. Six Forks Rd, Raleigh.  Our Garner Facility offers outpatient substance abuse treatment, Intensive Outpatient, ADETS and Prime For Life education programs for personal, school, legal and other reasons. We provide adult group outpatient counseling services including education, short term, longer term & Intensive Outpatient Program services. We are in network with all the major insurance companies and we do the billing for you. We are licensed by the State of NC and are accredited by CARF. In addition to more traditional outpatient substance abuse counseling services, First Step Garner offers DWI assessments, ADETS & outpatient treatment for DWI clients.

First Step Services of Garner offers a range of alcohol and drug use outpatient counseling & education: ADETS/Prime for Life, General Outpatient services & Intensive Outpatient Programs. We offer specialized Prime for Life substance abuse education programs that fit numerous personal, school and pre-trial legal needs. Completing counseling and/or education prior to a court case is considered a “mitigating factor” possibly lessening any punishment that may be required by the court.

Our Intensive Outpatient Programs meet best practice qualifications and are licensed by the State of NC and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Additionally, we provide short term, longer term and aftercare programs as well as DWI assessments and all DWI education and group counseling services.

First Step is a pre-approved provider by the NC Board of Nursing,  Duke University Employment Assistance Program, NC DWI Services for DWI Assessments/counseling/ADETS education, and others. First Step is in network with the major health insurance providers and we do the billing for you.

If deductibles, co-pays and fees are a concern, we can assist in making it affordable.

“I learned about myself through the sharing of others. The commonalities of strangers made us closer as a group. By the end, I was on a first name basis with some of the folks. And when I had to miss two weeks for work, it’s kinda’ weird but I missed it. I want to Thank Kim for her aide in my recovery not only for the reason I was in class, but for mental rejuvenation and emotional stability.” Anonymous Garner Client
